Justified Is Pretty Great

I've loved Justified since the pilot. It's an AMAZING pilot, right up there with Lost's.

But I never thought it would get to the point where it is potentially my favorite show on TV.

The last two week's episodes have been incredible. Great characters, smart stories, brilliant moments, it's all come together so perfectly.

We kinda played around in the initial eps of the sesason. They were good, but mostly stand alone. The fantastic villians of the season were introduced and then left to their own devices. No sir, not anymore. Margo Martindale deserves awards aplenty this year. I've seen Margo be good before. I've seen her be great. I've never seen her like this.

And Walton Goggins. I love this guy so much. After his turn on The Shield, ESPECIALLY the last season, he's my boy. And he brings soft pathos to a character that we should've hated after the first episode, but you can't help but be on his side now.

Also, his hair is craAAAAAzzzy.

Why am I not talking about the lead, the dude who has pretty much become the modern cowboy? Because Olyphant just...is. This is not a bad thing. He's always got a, "What the shit?" expression on his face, he's a tall, good looking drink of water, he's got the drawl and the delivery and it's so damn natural, you don't even think about it being acting. That's just Tim. Raylan Givens is just a pure distillation of all things Olyphant.

Everyone should be watching this show. Like all FX joints, it's for the more testerone inclined in the crowd. But who cares!?! It's quite possible the best show (airing) right now.
