There is a perfect ending to this movie.

It's IN the movie.

Then they fuck it up by trying for a MORE perfect ending.

sigh...


But other than that, really good movie. Duncan Jones, the son of David Bowie!, is turning into quite the director and is already one of those guys who I'm totally ready to follow, movie to movie. I hope Source Code makes bundles of money so he can get his next movie, this time written by him (like the amazing Moon), off the ground.

Gyllenhaal is the best he's been in quite awhile and get to switch between badass and bemused quite a bit. There's a nice little twist about 30 minutes it that's adds some good flavor to the movie, keeps from being just sci-fi Groundhog Day.

Which would just still be awesome, anyway.

Very good flick. It's been a weak year, hopefully this a portent of what we can expect for the rest of it.
