Doubt - Very, very good. Acting is across the board fantastic. PSH is tops, but everyone is great, minus a bit for Amy Adams, but part of that is probably her character. Damn fine flick.
Crank 2 - Batshit insane. Wait, the first was batshit insane. This one is batshitter insane. Even ruder, cruder and more fucked up than the first. So, yeah, I dug it.
Election (triad election) - Another Johnny To flick. Couldn't really get into it. Lots of names and faces. Very fast but at the same time doesn't feel like it's really moving.
Lakeview Terrace - Like...it's ok. Were it a better basic story, it would be really solid. The fact that Samuel J Motherfucker is really racist against Whitty McWhierson (Patrick Wilson) is interesting and different but it just gets silly. And my God, is that a matte painting? Oh, Neil Labute. This coulda been in the Company of a Brother or Your Friends and Neighbors 2: Fight Fire With Fire.
The Forbidden Kingdom - I thought I saw the trailer for this, but obviously not. Where'd the fuckin' white kid come from? I got pissed trying to switch it from English to whatever, thinking I got a dubbed disc, but damn. All in English. The fights were cool, though. Reminded me a bit of Storm Riders and it was nice to see Jackie do a little drunken boxer again.
Frost/Nixon - Why Howard goes and does shit like Davinchi and Angels and Demons are beyond me. Great great acting. Sam Rockwell was kind of a douche, but I guess that's the guy, right.
Role Models - Some fantastic lines, including one great moment that thankfully was not in the trailers. But, ultimately not that memorable. Love Paul Rudd and a call back to the wonderful Wet Hot American Summer in the bloopers murdered me.
Nick and Norah's Infine Playlist - I think I'm just too old for this shit now. not my bag anymore. Excellent fingerbanging, though. Top notch.
